A native Chicagoan, I have lived a few places as an adult but am back to complete my Masters of Social Work with the intention of becoming a holistic psychotherapist (LCSW). During this time of completing my degree and supervision, I have increasingly come to appreciate my professional housework and decluttering/organizing service as an extension of mental health service to those in need of that support. I specialize in compassionate, nonjudgmental cleaning, organizing, and decluttering, and also value serving those within overlapping marginalized communities, such as LGBTQ people and disabled people.
I live on the northside of the city and grew up here! For some of that time I lived in a hoarding environment and, as an adult, have learned from the ground up both how to clean and organize, as well as how to design an intentional and pleasing living space. I appreciate being able to apply these skills to professional work for others. My living space often reflects my internal world and I have learned to experience cleaning and organizing as self-care.
I live with (mostly invisible) disabilities that impact my daily life. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, exploring, learning new things, singing, drawing, painting, thrift shopping/treasure hunting, concerts, dancing (solo and partnered, alone and in community), houseplants, gardening, TV, films, and foraging. In addition to professional cleaning, I previously worked as a massage therapist, Special Education Classroom Assistant, farmhand, digital editor, handmade craft vendor, and many other things! I have trained in a wide range of skills including Nonviolent Communication, Compassionate Listening, Restorative Justice Peace Circle Leadership, meditation, and permaculture/small-scale organic farming.
